Mission Statement
“Do unto others what you want others do unto you.” (Matt 7:11).
At Friends Home Care, the golden rule is the standard by which we treat all our residents. We believe that each person is created by God in his own image, whose existence was willed by our creator from before the beginning of time. We look at each person as a precious creation who deserves to be treated with dignity and compassion regardless of his or her physical or mental state.
We hold and value human life dearly, and strive to reflect this philosophy in the way we care for all those entrusted to our care. We eschew anything that demeans or devalues the life of a person, and strive earnestly to care for each person until that person’s natural death.
The daily task of caring for the elderly and the disabled can at times be challenging, but we see the work of caring not as chores to be endured but acts of love for one’s neighbor, as a path to our heavenly reward, by treating our neighbor as we would want others to treat us. This approach helps us to strive not merely to meet expectations but to surpass them.
